Asia-Pacific stocks mostly increased on Friday, Sept. 22, with the Japanese market showing a fourth day of decreases.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index (HK:HSI) gained 2.3% to 18,057.45.

Japanese Companies

The Nikkei 225 Index (JP:NIK) of Japanese companies dropped 0.5% to 32,402.41.

Chinese Companies

The Shanghai Composite Index (CN:SHCOMP) of Chinese companies added 1.5% to 3,132.43.

Singapore Stocks

The FTSE Straits Times Index (SG:STI) of Singapore stocks increased 0.1% to 3,204.52.

South Korea and Australia

South Korea's KOSPI Composite Index (KR:180721) declined 0.3% to 2,508.13, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Benchmark Index (AU:XJO) added 0.1% to 7,068.80.

Hang Seng Index Constituents

Of the Hang Seng Index constituents, property manager company Country Garden Svcs (HK:6098) saw the largest increase on Friday, as shares rose 6.7%. Shares of online service provider firm Netease (HK:9999) and alcoholic beverages/drinks company China Rscs Beer Holdings (HK:291) increased 6.2% and 4.9%, respectively. Shares of pharmaceuticals company Sinopharm Group (HK:1099) saw the largest decrease in Hong Kong, as shares dropped 1.1% on Friday. Shares of marine transport firm Orient Overseas Intl (HK:316) and renewable energy generation company China Resources Power (HK:836) declined 0.6% and 0.5%, respectively.

Nikkei 225 Index Constituents

Of the Nikkei 225 Index constituents, photographic equipment company Nikon Corp. (JP:7731) saw the largest increase on Friday, as shares gained 2.5%. Shares of couriers/messengers firm Yamato Holdings (JP:9064) and oil and gas exploration company Inpex Corp. (JP:1605) gained 2.1% and 1.8%, respectively. Also in Japan, marine freight company Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (JP:9107) saw the largest decline Friday, as shares weakened 3.4%. Shares of online service provider firm Z Holdings (JP:4689) and marine transport company Nippon Yusen (JP:9101) declined 3.0% and 2.7%, respectively.
