Large Cryptocurrencies Show Mixed Performance
In morning trading on Thursday, the performance of large cryptocurrencies was a mixed bag. The standout performer was Polkadot (DOTUSD), which saw a significant increase of 1.52% and reached a price of $6.74.
On the other hand, Cardano (ADAUSD) led the declines with a drop of 0.84% and settled at 49 cents.
Increases in Five Other Cryptocurrencies
In contrast to Cardano, five other cryptocurrencies experienced price increases on Thursday. Polygon (MATICUSD) rose by 1.30% to reach 80 cents, while Ethereum (ETHUSD) showed a moderate uptick of 0.81% and reached $2,295.20.
Dogecoin (DOGEUSD) witnessed a modest increase of 0.68% and reached 8 cents. Similarly, Uniswap (UNIUSD) rose by 0.50% and settled at $6.00.
Bitcoin Sees Smallest Gain
Bitcoin (BTCUSD), despite being the most well-known cryptocurrency, showed the smallest increase among the mentioned digital assets. It rose by a mere 0.40% and reached $42,600.10.
Drops in Cardano, Ripple, and Solana
Apart from Cardano, two other cryptocurrencies experienced declines in their prices. Ripple (XRPUSD) saw a decrease of 0.72% and reached 50 cents, while Solana (SOLUSD) slipped by 0.55% to settle at $96.51.
Crypto-Related Company News
In terms of company news related to the cryptocurrency industry, Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN) saw its shares increase by 1.28% to $129.84, and MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR) experienced a similar gain of 1.30% and reached $507.73. Riot Blockchain Inc. (RIOT) saw no significant change and held steady at $10.90, while Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. (MARA) rose by 1.35% and settled at $17.97.
Additionally, shares of Block Inc. (SQ) increased by 2.26% and reached $66.48, while Tesla Inc. (TSLA) remained unchanged at $187.29.
However, PayPal Holdings Inc. (PYPL) experienced a minor decline of 0.18% and reached $61.24, while Ebang International Holdings Inc. (EBON) witnessed an increase of 2.22% and reached $9.20. NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA) saw a modest rise of 0.24% and reached $616.73, whereas Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) slipped by 0.55% and settled at $166.77.
Funds and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)
In the fund space, the Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF (BITQ), which focuses on pure-play crypto companies, showed an increase of 0.76% to reach $8.99. The Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF (BLOK), which is centered around blockchain technology, experienced a rise of 0.47% and settled at $27.03.
