RumbleOn, the well-known powersports retailer, has announced the appointment of Michael Kennedy as its new chief executive, effective November 1. Kennedy brings with him more than 25 years of experience at Harley-Davidson, where he held various high-level positions, including vice president and managing director of the Americas from 2010 to 2017.
Kennedy, who recently served as president and CEO of parts and accessories maker Vance & Hines, will not only take on the role of CEO but will also join RumbleOn's board of directors.
The shift in leadership comes after the resignation of Marshall Chesrown, the former CEO of RumbleOn, amidst allegations surrounding his use of company resources. Since then, Mark Tkach, the company's former chief operating officer, has been fulfilling the role of interim CEO.
Furthermore, Tkach and William Coulter, a former RumbleOn executive vice chairman, were involved in a proxy fight that concluded following Chesrown's departure.
Chesrown himself has revealed his intentions to file legal claims totaling more than $57 million against the company, certain officers and directors, and their respective affiliates.
